Carlsbad Attractions

Carlsbad is known as the world golf capital. Two famous Golf Resorts: the stylish Four Seasons Resort and world-renowned Carlsbad Resort and Spa grace the city of Carlsbad. The new Crossings course is  a public city course but very challenging;

Due to this reason Carlsbad has a thriving golf industry.  Cobra and Taylormade make their home here to name a few

The celebrated Flower Fields of Carlsbad, with its sea of vibrant flowers over looking the Pacific Ocean, skirt the hills of Carlsbad. The 50 acres of land, blooms with all the colors of the rainbow and then some more. From shades of reds and pinks, to brilliants hues of yellows and purple, inset with virgin whites, the fields are full of glorious flowers, which you are actually allowed to touch. 20,000 visitors each spring come and stroll through this Eden on earth.

The Carlsbad Seawall runs from Tamarack Surf Beach to Pine Avenue, along seven miles of beautiful beaches. A walkway on the inland side is popular with joggers and strollers. From this point you can see La Jolla and Oceansides sweeping bluffs to the south and on a clear day, north, past the pier towards the mountains at Camp Pendleton.

30 million LEGO bricks created more than 1,000 LEGO models that decorate the 128 acres of beautifully landscaped park in the center of Carlsbad. For kids between 2-92 it is the perfect family outing.

Carlsbad also boasts of three pictorial lagoons home to many species of birds, an ideal place for bird watching and nature walks.

The temperature of Carlsbads is about 78 degrees in the summer. Near perfect weather for swimming, fantastic surfing, barefoot beach volleyball, biking, running, tennis, golf, windsurfing, sunbathing, fishing, strolling and sunbathing along seven miles of beautiful beaches. In the winter it drops down to around 58 degrees.

Carlsbad Recreation and Entertainment

 

Sailing and boating are also very popular due to the excellent harbors of Carlsbad.

On the first Sundays in May and November, the Carlsbad Village street fairs are held, which are the largest single day streets fairs in California and draw a crowd of 80,000 people. Over 850 arts and crafts booths line the Village streets, filled with their unique items on displays.

The Village of Carlsbad though being more than a 100 years old was incorporated in 1952. Named after the famous European spa Karlsbad Bohemia, this is known as The Village By the Sea. According to the 1998 count, it had around 74,000 residents spread over 42 square miles of land. As all the county islands have been annexed there is no foreseeable growth. Today this Village has become one of Southern Californias leading cities.

A major regional shopping mall, 16 auto dealers, 25 hotels offering 2,200 rooms for tourist lodging, high technology, multimedia and biomedical businesses, electronics, golf apparel and equipment manufacturers are all part of the industry. Numerous single and multi-family housing units are also being built in a variety of community settings. All these industries service the community, which takes the full benefits for achieving economic prosperity and a blissful quality of life.
